3DS Game Gear Virtual Console Offers Improved Emulator

Nintendo 3DS owners who’ve purchased the new Game Gear games recently released on the 3DS eShop will notice a better and more option filled emulator interface. Besides mapable buttons, they have added short cuts to the different Screen Settings options. Instead of having to press a combination of buttons on the software start up, users can now (with a user friendly interface), simply select Normal, Dot by Dot (1 for 1 original resolution), or Full. They also have the option to turn Game Gears infamous Blur on and off. If you haven’t checked the Nintendo 3DS eShop lately than you may be missing out on new content.

Nintendo Celebrating Kid Icarus Release With Streaming 3D Anime.

In the week before the release of Kid Icarus Uprising in North America, Nintendo is celebrating with 3DS owners with free Kid Icarus 3D Anime streaming from the Nintendo Video application currently available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Owners of Nitnendo’s newest handheld may have noticed a blue light on March 16th when they received a Spot Pass from Nintendo indicating a fourth and maybe final 3D Anime video. Don’t forget to pick up Kid Icarus Uprising in stores March 23, 2012.

Game Gear Makes A Comeback!

 

Nintendo fans checking out Thursdays’ eShop update will be in for quite a surprise. Finally, Nintendo bountifully released three Virtual Console Game Gear games. Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Shinobi, and Dragon Crystal have been released with prices ranging from $2.99-$4.99. This is the first time Nintendo has released Game Gear games for the 3DS and hopefully we will see more to come.

Club Nintendo 3DS Digital Titles for March 2012

This month Nintendo released two Game Boy Virtual Console games on Club Nintendo for the 3DS. Mario’s Picross (4.5 Star Rating) and Radar Mission (4 Star Rating). If you missed these popular Game Boy titles many years ago, they are now available on the Club Nintendo website for 100 coins each. If you are not already a Club Nintendo member or do not have enough coins, these titles can also be purchased on the eShop under the Virtual Console category for $3.99 and $2.99 respectively.
